The 5th annual Killimor 10k, in aid of Galway Hospice, takes place this year on Sunday 9th July at 3pm. The walk starts at the Church in Portumna and proceeds on the main road to Killimor. All are welcome to join in: you can run, jog or walk. Registration will take place on Saturday 1st July in Killimor Community Centre from 10am, or on the day of the walk in Portumna from 1pm. Sponsorship cards are available from Mary Starr on 087 323 9329 or from Mary Guinan on 087 994 3120.
This year, once again, there will be a Mass after the walk in the Heritage Courtyard in Killimor. A personalised candle can be ordered from Mary Starr or Mary Guinan in advance. A small candle is €7, a large one is €10. Candles will be lit before the Mass. If you are interested in ordering a candle, please place orders as soon as possible as it takes time to personalise each candle. Those who have a candle from last year are welcome to being it along and light it again before the Mass.
