ADVANCE NOTICE – time to start planning for this year’s Croagh Patrick Climb in aid of Galway Hospice – Saturday 18th June 2016!

Photo (Copy)It’s almost that time of year again!! The 2016 Croagh Patrick Climb will be taking place on Saturday 18th June, in aid of Galway Hospice.

Last year, an estimated 800 climbers of all ages and from all walks of life took part in the climb for Galway Hospice and raised a whopping total of almost €46,000!!!!

Many climbers had their own personal reason for participating in the event but the one thing that brought everyone together was the desire to support the great work done by Galway Hospice.  100% of the proceeds raised this year will once again go directly towards funding the comprehensive range of Palliative Care services offered to patients by Galway Hospice.

The 2015 Croagh Patrick Climb created many wonderful memories for all involved and it was amazing to see an increase in the number of climbers coming from abroad, with supporters from as far afield as Boston and Bermingham.  This is a testimony to the quality and necessity of Galway Hospice’s services,   stretching far beyond our shores.

This year’s climb takes place on Saturday 18th June 2016 and we are once again inviting individuals, families, teams, companies and organisations to participate.  So why not put the date in your calendar, and start limbering up those legs in preparation for a very memorable and rewarding climb?

If you are interested in taking part in this year’s climb, please call Galway Hospice on 091 770868 or email fundraising@galwayhospice.ie
