Introduction of “Irish Therapy Dogs” at Galway Hospice

The wonderful voluntary service of Irish Therapy Dogs (www.irishtherapydogs.ie) has been added to the many therapeutic services available to patients at Galway Hospice.  The service began on Tuesday 5th October 2010, when Laura Walsh introduced her dog “Frida” to patients of the hospice Day Care Centre.  Our picture shows Laura Walsh (Irish Therapy Dogs), David Farrell holding “Frida”, and A/Nurse Manager Olive Fahy.
