The Green Briar Pig on Spit raises €5,276.78 for Galway Hospice

The Green Briar Pub in Moyvilla, Oranmore was the venue for a Pig on Spit, BBQ and Music Evening in aid of Galway Hospice.  The event included live bands and a disco, and raised a fantastic €5,276.78 which was recently presented to Galway Hospice.

Thanks to all who supported this event in aid of Galway Hospice.  Events like this are a great encouragement at a time when fundraising has become particularly challenging.  Today, Galway Hospice cares for 136 patients in their own homes, patients who might otherwise have to be in hospitals or nursing homes.  The vast majority of these patients want to be cared for at home, if there is a choice available.  Hospice not alone provides that choice, but provides a comprehensive level of quality care in the home.  Events like this are a hugely important source of revenue to enable us to maintain these vital services.
