Staff of Dunnes Stores raise €3,850 for Galway Hospice!

Dunnes Stores 2016Recently, Galway Hospice was presented with a cheque for €3,850 by staff members of the three Galway-based Dunnes Stores. Management and staff from the Brierhill, Terryland and Edward Square stores raised the funds when they took part in a ‘Hell and Back’ challenge in June of this year. The hellish challenge was bravely undertaken in support of both Galway Hospice and Cancer Care West, with Cancer Care West also receiving €3,850.

Management and staff are pictured presenting Joanne Tierney of Galway Hospice with the proceeds raised for Galway Hospice Foundation.  Sincere thanks to everyone who organised and participated in the challenge. Thanks also to Dunnes Stores and everyone who  supported this fundraising endeavour. Well done everyone!

Every year, Galway Hospice must raise €1.8 million to ensure the continued delivery of Hospice Home Care, Day Care and Bereavement Support services to people throughout Galway city and county, as well as to those residing on the adjoining islands. Fundraising endeavours such as this one are, therefore, extremely important to Galway Hospice. Thank you for your continued support.
