“Record Breaker” Clíona Conneely of the Maggie C

Clíona Conneely from the fishing trawler, the “Maggie C”, caught a huge wreckfish this week which is an Irish record breaker (18kgs & 96cm long).  She has very kindly donated it to Galway Hospice.

The fish sold for €160 and was bought by Stephane Griesbach from Gannet Fishmongers in Galway. The last Irish record was a measly 4.8kgs!
