Radisson Ball raises €4,049 for Galway Hospice

Many thanks to the great team who held a charity ball in the Radisson Hotel Galway on December 26th 2011 in aid of Galway Hospice and Laura Lynn Children’s Hospice.  They recently presented Galway Hospice with a cheque for €4,049 from this event and donated €7,051 to Laura Lynn Children’s Hospice.

Pictured at the cheque presentation are (l-r): Brian Moloney, John Gaffney, Yvonne O’Reilly, Emer Molloy (Galway Hospice), Coilin Collins-Smyth and Sean Blank.

Many thanks to everyone who helped organise this event in aid of Galway Hospice and Laura Lynn Children’s Hospice and also to everyone who supported this event. Fundraising events like this are hugely important to Galway Hospice.  Apart from our Inpatient and Day Care services, this week we are caring for 136 patients in their own homes, patients who might otherwise have to be in hospitals or nursing homes.  The vast majority of these patients want to be cared for at home, if there is a choice available.  Hospice not alone provides that choice, but provides a comprehensive level of quality care in the home.  This funding helps to make that possible.

Thanks again to all concerned.
