President Mary McAleese honours Galway Hospice

On Friday 22nd October 2010, Galway Hospice was honoured by President Mary McAleese at a ceremony in Áras an Uachtaráin, where she commended the “wonderful achievement” of Galway Hospice in being awarded dual accreditation.   President McAleese praised the work of the hospice and spent time meeting with staff, volunteers, carers, fundraisers and Board members.  It was a very proud and memorable occasion for all those present, who represented everyone associated with the services of Galway Hospice.  The photo shows President McAleese with the full group from Galway Hospice.   A large selection of photos from the event can be viewed on www.joetravers.ie.
