We come together this week to say ‘Thank You’.
Here at Galway Hospice we want to take this opportunity to shout out with a BIG ‘Thank You‘ to our Galway Hospice Volunteers, for your never ceasing assistance and continued support every week. In particular, over the past six months which were challenging to say the least. ‘Thank You’ does not go anywhere near the gratitude we feel for you. Galway Hospice is very fortunate to have such a caring group of individuals from all walks of life who, through your commitment and support, enhance the life of our patients and service users.
Volunteers are an intrinsic part of the life at Galway Hospice , who freely give their time and skills to help and support the needs of the Hospice. Through their generosity, many individuals, families and indeed the community’s lives have been transformed, enriched and enabled to move forward in a better and brighter direction.
This week is an opportunity for us to show our appreciation to the wonderful Volunteers we work with across all the areas of our organisation from Reception, Escorts, Drivers, Singers, In Patient, Day Care, Florist, Hairdressers, and more.
Our patients and families benefit from the services of our excellent Volunteers through companionship, a friendly face, practical assistance, which makes a difference in the lives of those they work with. We also have to thank the wonderful volunteers who assist with the various Hospice events (e.g. Croagh Patrick Climb and other activities events this year, Sunflower Day, Hospice Coffee Morning).
We are delighted to have this week – National Volunteering Week – to say ‘Thank You’ and acknowledge the positivity and enormous amount of sacrifices you quietly make, as you go about your Volunteering duties here in Galway Hospice .
We are truly grateful and you are all a true inspiration to us!
