Mayors Award for Chairman of Galway Hospice

CONGRATULATIONS to Dr Richard Joyce, Founding Member, Board Member and current Chairman of Galway Hospice who last night received a Galway City Mayor’s “Social & Community Service” Award for his huge unbroken commitment to Galway Hospice since its foundation 24 years ago. Dr Joyce was nominated for the Award by Jody and Agnes O’Boyle, Monivea Park, Galway. In accepting the Award, Dr Joyce paid tribute to everyone associated with the delivery of Galway Hospice services, and to the people of Galway for their vital financial support which has assured the continuation of those services over the years. Dr Joyce also paid special tribute to Dr Padhraic O’Conghaile for his vision and contribution to the development of hospice services in Galway.
