Martina Lynch’s ‘Wild Geese Project’ for Galway Hospice in memory of her mother Kathleen

the-wild-geese-project-copyMany thanks to Martina Lynch who has set up an online fundraising page for Galway Hospice in memory of her late mother Kathleen.  Martina has kindly requested donations to be made on the page in aid of Galway Hospice.

The link to ‘The Wild Geese Project’ online fundraising page explains Martina’s reason for setting up this page, and can be accessed at:

https://give.everydayhero.com/ie/the-wild-geese-project

Martina explains it as follows: “Flying across the ocean blue, oh how I longed to be with you, with your cups of tea and lovely rhubarb tart, God has you in His presence, I will always have you in my heart. This is a short poem I composed for my lovely mother, Kathleen, who passed away in Galway Hospice in 2005. Wild geese flew overhead my mother’s final resting place and so my heart misses a beat whenever they appear: whether it’s in Galway, Dublin, Clare , Philadelphia or in New York. Sometimes, I feel like a wild goose flying across the Atlantic to see my family these past 30 years or more.
I created this page in loving memory of my wonderful mother. I want to make a difference and help other families whose lives will unfortunately be turned upside down when a loved one dies. I’m inspired by the work of Galway Hospice Foundation and wanted to support them by raising money. Please help me help them, in memory of my mother, Kathleen Walsh, by giving whatever you can using the ‘Give Now’ button. The more people that know about Galway Hospice Foundation, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot! Perhaps you could donate in lieu of giving Christmas presents this year! My mother was a loving, brave and selfless lady who left us too soon. She was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, sister and aunt to all who knew her. Let’s remember her by giving to Galway Hospice! Thank you from the bottom of my heart”.

Your support for Martina’s project in aid of Galway Hospice would be very much appreciated.
