Margaret Ridge Memorial Walk 2014 raises €4,330 for Galway Hospice

Cheque Presentation (Copy)The annual Margaret Ridge Memorial Walk proved once again to be a huge success for the organisers, and – in the process – for Galway Hospice.  This year the event organisers raised €4,330, bringing their total raised so far to a whopping €112,829.93 since they began the annual Walk in 2002!

Over the past 12 years, the Margaret Ridge Memorial Walk committee have been huge supporters of Galway Hospice.  We appreciate so much the enthusiasm and loyalty of this committee, who put immense personal time and effort into organising this event for Galway Hospice each year.

Pictured at this year’s cheque presentation are (l-r): Louis Ridge, Maureen Sullivan, Michael Craig (Galway Hospice), Mary Ann Sullivan and Coleman Cooke.

Our sincere thanks to Louis, Maureen, Mary Ann and Coleman who take on the organising and running of this event each year just to raise funds for Galway Hospice.  The success of this event over the years is not just a testament to the memory of Margaret Ridge, but also to the phenomenal commitment of the organisers.  Thanks also to the fantastic people of Connemara who have supported the Walk so faithfully over the past 12 years by participating in the Walk or helping out in other ways to make the event so successful.
