Irish Executives raise €1,000 for Galway Hospice

Many thanks to ‘Irish Executives’ who recently raised €1,000 for Galway Hospice during the first Irish Executives’ Summit last September.  Pictured is Barry Walsh (representing Irish Executives) presenting Emer Molloy (Galway Hospice) with the proceeds.  Galway Hospice would like to thank Barry and all other Irish Executives members who supported Galway Hospice through this event.

Galway Hospice depends so much on people like Barry and the Irish Executives, who take it upon themselves to raise much needed funds for Galway Hospice.   The State only provides 70% of the funding we need every year to provide these essential services.  This means that, every year, we depend on the public to provide the €1.5 million we need to fund our Home Care and Day Care services.  The public have been extraordinarily supportive towards these services.  Regretfully, the level of State support towards our services has been DECREASING since 2010!  We are now having to top-up the State funding to even keep our Inpatient Unit operating to full capacity to meet the continuing demand!  We are doing our best to keep going, but we need all the help we can get.  The support of the Irish Executives is very much appreciated.  Thank you!
