GMIT students raise €328.85 for Galway Hospice as part of civic engagement project

IMG_2605 (Copy)Galway Hospice was recently visited by students of neighbouring GMIT. The group came to the hospice to present proceeds they raised through a student night, organised as part of their civic engagement project. The young students wanted to get involved with a community based organisation, with the intention of learning and developing through participating in organised service, as well as raising awareness of their chosen charity among their peers.

Pictured at the cheque presentation at Galway Hospice are (l-r): Karen Saliiu, Ryan Cawley, Amber Hatter, Amara Molloy, Katie Munnelly and Joanne Tierney (Galway Hospice).

Sincere thanks to Karen, Ryan, Amber, Amara and Katie for choosing Galway Hospice as the beneficiary of their project and fundraising efforts.

Every year, Galway Hospice must raise €1.8 million to maintain current levels of Hospice Home Care, Day Care and Bereavement Support services throughout Galway city and county.  Thank you for your continued support.
