Galway’s Largest Indoor Second-Hand Books, Games, DVD and Music Fair in aid of Galway Hospice

Make Money Raise Money (Monroe's) [640x480]On Saturday 1st March 2014, a fantastically fun fundraiser will take place in Monroe’s, Dominick Street, Galway between 12 mid-day and 6 pm.  ‘Galway’s Largest Indoor Second-Hand Books, Games, DVD and Music Fair’ offers potential vendors an opportunity to simultaneously make money (for themselves) and raise money (for Galway Hospice).

The cost of a table to sell books, dvds and/or video games is €10, with this fee being donated to Galway Hospice. The entry fee for members of the public is only €1 and this fee will also be given to Galway Hospice. There will also be a table dedicated entirely to Galway Hospice, with 100% of the proceeds from this table going to Galway Hospice!

On the day, there will also be musical entertainment to be enjoyed by those attending.  So why not come along and support this wonderful fundraising event in aid of Galway Hospice?  What’s more, you might find yourself the proud owner of a first edition book, a classic film or a coveted video game – the one you always wanted but could never find – while at the same time, you will be supporting the provision of Hospice Home Care and Day Care services.  It’s a win-win situation!

Galway Hospice provides a wide range of Specialist Palliative Care Services to the Galway community. These services, which include Inpatient Care, Home Care, Day Care, as well as Bereavement Support and Education, are delivered throughout Galway City and County. While funding towards our Inpatient Unit is provided by the HSE, all of our other services depend entirely on voluntary contrubutions. Each year, Galway Hospice must raise in excess of €1.6 million to support the delivery of these fundamental services which are provided free of charge, for as long as they are needed.
