Galway Hospice Art Therapist features in new book

Galway Hospice Art Therapist Kathy Hyland features in a new book edited by actor Cillian Murphy.

Ionbhá: The Empathy Book for Ireland features reflections on empathy, illuminates its healing properties and opens our eyes to the countless ways in which its power can shape us all.

Kathy is featured among 89 contributors including President Michael D. Higgins, The Edge, Hozier, Blindboy Boatclub, Mary Coughlan and citizens from all walks of life who write about things that really matter in life.

This book is a collection of personal reflections, memoir, poems and essays that show that no matter how big or small, empathetic actions have a massive impact.

100% of royalties from the book go to delivering the Activating Social Empathy education programme in Irish schools and youth work organisations.

The book will be launched at Charlie Byrne’s Bookstore on Friday 11th November at 6pm.

This event is open to the public with free admission. Register at https://bit.ly/3SC5Mq0
