Fundraising Night in memory of Yvonne Hardiman raises €19,000 for Galway Hospice

Many thanks to the organisers of the fundraiser in aid of Galway Hospice, which was held in Burke’s of Colmanstown on Saturday 31st March in memory of Yvonne Hardiman (R.I.P.).

The total amount raised was €19,000 with all the proceeds going to Galway Hospice.  This was raised by holding a raffle, auction, barbeque and a “Potato Peeling” contest – champion on the night was Declan Treacy.

A sincere thank you to all who donated money, prizes, auction items and food for the Barbeque.

The auction was a huge success with a big thank you to auctioneer Noel Treacy (County Board Chairman) and sincere thanks to all who bought items on the night.

A special word of thanks to all who participated in the organising of this event, to all who sold raffle cards both locally and nationally as this generated a lot of money for the fundraiser.

The committee would like to thank Burke’s of Colemanstown for the use of their premises and also the fundraising team at Galway Hospice for their guidance and support to enable this huge endeavour to take place.

This contribution will help Galway Hospice to continue providing Home Care and Day Care services, which do not receive any funding from the State.
