Galway Hospice was recently presented with a cheque for €5,000, being the proceeds raised through the Corribdale Pony Show and Country Fair which took place last August. Organised by the Corribdale Pony Show and Country Fair committee, this very popular event raised €5,000 each for Galway Hospice and Cancer Care West.
Committee members and those who volunteered their time in support of the event attended the cheque presentation in the Lake House in Oughterard. Cllr. Sincere thanks to everyone who planned, organised and co-ordinated this fundraising event in aid of two local charities. Thank you also to the volunteers who gave their time in support of the undertaking. Well done everyone!
Every year, Galway Hospice must raise €1.8 million to support the provision of Hospice Home Care, Day Care and Bereavement Support services throughout Galway city and county.
