‘Birthday Girl’ Mary Gilligan raises €1,730 for Galway Hospice!

img_1409-copyMary Gilligan recently turned fifty and, to mark her special birthday, she decided to organise two fundraising events in aid of Galway Hospice.  So she organised a family-friendly football match, with a music night afterwards in The Red Gap in Barnaderg.

Mary is pictured presenting Staff Nurse Bernie Galvin of Galway Hospice with the €1,730 that she raised through the match and the craic afterwards in the Red Gap. The photograph was taken on a sunny day outside Galway Hospice.  Our thanks to Mary for her lovely gesture in choosing to support Galway Hospice through her birthday celebrations.  We hope that she will have many healthy and happy years ahead.

Every year, Galway Hospice must raise €1.8 million to ensure the provision of Hospice Home Care, Day Care and Bereavement Support services throughout Galway city and county.  Galway Hospice depends hugely on people like Mary, and the public generally, to reach this annual target.  Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
