Mary Gilligan recently turned fifty and, to mark her special birthday, she decided to organise two fundraising events in aid of Galway Hospice. So she organised a family-friendly football match, with a music night afterwards in The Red Gap in Barnaderg.
Mary is pictured presenting Staff Nurse Bernie Galvin of Galway Hospice with the €1,730 that she raised through the match and the craic afterwards in the Red Gap. We hope that she will have many healthy and happy years ahead.
Every year, Galway Hospice must raise €1.8 million to ensure the provision of Hospice Home Care, Day Care and Bereavement Support services throughout Galway city and county.
