“Ballygar Truckin’ and Tractor Run” in aid of Galway Hospice – this Saturday, 30th July

IMG_1329 (Copy)The annual Ballygar Truckin’ and Tractor Run will take place this Saturday.  This year’s event will be held solely in aid of Galway Hospice. In 2014, the event’s organising committee kindly chose Galway Hospice as one of four charities to be supported from that year’s fundraiser, as a result of which Galway Hospice received €4,000 from that event.

This year’s event includes a reversing competition and a truck and tractor run, as well as musical entertainment, face painting and a barbeque. The reversing competition will take place at 1 pm, followed by the truck and tractor run at 4 pm. For entry details, please contact the Fundraising Department at Galway Hospice on 091 770868.

Galway Hospice greatly appreciates the continued support of the organising committee of this event, together with all of the event’s participants and supporters.   So we encourage everyone to come along and see the super skills of the truck and tractor drivers, especially in the reversing competition.  For those of us that struggle to park a car, this event is a real jaw-dropper.  It’s also a great family day out, while simultaneously supporting a local charity.

Every year, Galway Hospice must raise €1.8 million to ensure the provision of Hospice Home Care, Day Care and Bereavement Support services throughout Galway city and county.  Galway Hospice depends hugely on fundraising events like this one to reach this annual fundraising target.  Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
