Arja Sweeney’s ‘Walking In Nature’ at the Renzo Café Gallery in aid of Galway Hospice – September 24th to November 4th 2018

FINNISH ARTIST Arja Sweeney believes the landscape of her native North Karelia has much in common with Connemara, where she now lives. “They show similarity in its true spirit,” she says. “The colours in the landscape are a painting in itself.”

Landscape is the central focus of her new exhibition, ‘Walking In Nature’, which features mixed media paintings, and runs in the Renzo Café Gallery, Eyre Street, from September 24th to November 4th. The artist said these works are “a sensitive, poignant observation and commentary on nature and its ever-changing moods”.

The exhibition will be officially opened on Saturday October 6th at 7.30pm, with 70% proceeds raised through the exhibition going to Galway Hospice. Your support for this event would be greatly appreciated.

“With gratitude to Galway Hospice in difficult times and in memory of our loved ones.” Arja
