Annual Walk in Memory of Margaret Ridge raises €8300 for Galway Hospice

The annual Margaret Ridge Memorial Walk proved once again to be a huge success, raising €8,704 this year for Galway Hospice. This  fantastic walk has been taking place since 2002 and, to date, it has raised the extraordinary amount of €100,560.73 for Galway Hospice!

Pictured at this year’s cheque presentation are (l-r): Louis Ridge, Maureen Sullivan, Coleman Cooke, Margaret Forde (Galway Hospice) and Mary Ann Sullivan.

Our sincere thanks to this fantastic group, who take on the organising and running of this event each year just to raise funds for Galway Hospice. Galway Hospice depends so much on people like these, who give their time and efforts so generously, raising funds so that we can continue to provide Home Care and Day Care services, which receive no State funding whatsoever.

Also thanks to the fantastic people of Connemara who have supported the Walk so faithfully over the years by participating or helping out in other ways.
