Annaghdown 25th Annual Cycle raises €20,520 for Galway Hospice

The 25th Annual Annaghdown Cycle was held over the weekend of 21st and 22nd of April this year.  The event was a huge success with 80 cyclists taking part, supported by 20 helpers / stewards to keep eveything running smoothly.

For the past 3 years, the Annaghdown Cycle Committee has chosen Galway Hospice as their fundraising project and the Committee states that ‘it has been a pleasure working with the fundraising team in Galway Hospice’.

Both Galway Hospice and the Annaghdown Cycle Committee would like to extend a huge “thank you” to all who took part in the event, for giving up their weekend, for all the fundraising they did, and even for paying for their own overnight accommodation.

A cheque for €20,720 was handed over to the Galway Hospice at a presentation night in Regan’s of Clonboo on Friday 15th June 2012.  Pictured above are members of the Annaghdown Cycle Committee and supporters presenting the proceeds of their event to Breda King (front, extreme right) of Galway Hospice.

Pictured below are committee members (l-r): Agnes Fox, Sean Tully, Eileen Regan, Breda King (Galway Hospice) and Winnie Farragher with the plaque presented to them by Galway Hospice for their exceptional fundraising efforts over many years.

Galway Hospice would like to sincerely thank everyone involved in this very successful event, and would like to wish the Annaghdown Cycle continued success in the future.
