When Connacht Rugby met Mr. Gerry Molloy

Gerry Molloy, a well known Galwegian and long-standing volunteer with the Galway Hospice Fundraising Department, was delighted when he heard  that some of the Connacht players would be visiting the hospice, a visit which took place in the latter part of November. Gerry was so thrilled in fact, that he asked to be notified when they would be arriving, so that he could call in and meet the lads. A long-time supporter of Connacht Rugby, Gerry had never met any of the team’s players, and, therefore, this meeting would be a particularly special one.

Upon their arrival to the hospice, Gerry was the first person the players met. Like all of us at Galway Hospice, they were instantly charmed by the lovely Gerry, who gave them some tips on their game-playing! Thank you to Eoghan, James, Sean and Peter for meeting with Gerry and for making his day.
