Carnmore National School students raise €105 for Galway Hospice through ‘Swizz Bizz’

IMG_2197 (Copy)Many thanks to the 6th class students of Carnmore National School, who recently raised a fantastic €105 through the sale of Swizzle Shirts for Galway Hospice. The students set up a business called Swizz Bizz, in conjunction with the school’s Junior Entrepreneur Programme. Through this business, the students designed and created a range of Swizzle Shirts and publicised them on social media and in the locality for sale. All proceeds raised through the sale of the t-shirts were then donated to Galway Hospice, which the students had voted as their chosen charity.

Pictured is student Nicola Pesaityte who visited Galway Hospice on behalf of her school and presented the proceeds raised to Orla Cunniffe of Galway Hospice. Nicola also kindly brought a Swizzle Shirt in with her, and explained the process of how the t-shirt was created.

Thanks to all the students, school staff and parents who were involved in the designing, creating and selling of these t-shirts for Galway Hospice. A lot of time and hard work was involved in the creation of the Swizzle Shirts and we are extremely grateful to everyone involved for doing all of this for Galway Hospice.
