The 29th Annaghdown Cycle raises €21,000 for Galway Hospice

EU1_1390v1 (Copy)Many thanks to the Annaghdown Cyclists who recently presented Fiona McKinnon of Galway Hospice with €21,000 – the proceeds of their 29th Annual Annaghdown Cycle. The presentation took place in Regans of Clonboo, with music and song, and a great night was had by all!

The Cycle, which took place on the 23rd and 24th of April, travelled the route from Annaghdown to Ennistymon on Saturday 23rd, with the return journey on Sunday 24th, all in aid of Galway Hospice.

This was the 29th year of this Cycle and the organisers have been wonderful supporters of Galway Hospice for many years now.  Our sincere thanks to the dedicated organisers of this event and to the amazing cyclists who take on this considerable challenge each year.  The funding received from this event over the years has been hugely important in the provision of Galway Hospice Home Care and Day Care services, which rely almost totally on voluntary donations. EU1_2808v1 (Copy)

Pictured at the cheque presentation in the front row are (sitting, l-r): Marian Skelton, Fiona McKinnon (Galway Hospice), Eileen Regan and Hilda Moran, along with many of the wonderful cyclists and supporters.  The cyclists are also pictured on the morning of the cycle, gearing up for the road ahead. Thanks to everyone for their support.  Special thanks to Regans of Clonboo who have provided phenomenal support for the cyclists at the start and the end of the race each year.
