‘Strictly Come Dancing in Moyglass’ raises €7,653.25 for Galway Hospice!

DSCN3905 (Copy)Galway Hospice was recently presented with a cheque for €7,603.25, following ‘Strictly Come Dancing in Moyglass’.   This fantastically fun fundraising event took place on Sunday 27th March in O’Connor’s Pub in Moyglass. On the night of the presentation, somebody quick-stepped up to Dominic with an additional €50, he waltzed over to Michael of Galway Hospice, and Michael tangoed back to Galway with just over 7,653 hucklebucks!

Pictured at the cheque presentation are: (l-r) Pat Kenny, Roisin O’Connor, Dominic O’Connor, Michael Craig (Fundraising Manager at Galway Hospice), Mary Kenny, Patricia Murray and John Kenny.

Thanks to everyone involved in the planning and organising of this fundraising event. Special thanks to Mary Kenny for her time and hard work. Sincere thanks to all of the brave souls who took part in the event, to everyone who sponsored different aspects of the event, and to everyone who volunteered on the night. Thanks also to O’Connor’s Pub for providing the venue on the night. Well done everyone!

Every year, Galway Hospice must raise €1.8 million to ensure the provision of Hospice Home Care, Day Care and Bereavement Support services throughout Galway city and county.  Galway Hospice depends hugely on fundraising events like this one to reach this annual fundraising target.  Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
