Mossie O’Mahony birthday headshave for Galway Hospice

Maurice (Mossie) O’Mahony held his 50th birthday party at his home in Corrandulla recently.  During the party, his daughter Kathleen and two of his sons, Eric and Maurice, shaved their heads and raised a massive €2908.50 in the process for Galway Hospice.  Mossie’s father died on Mossie’s 40th birthday, and the family decided to have a fundraising head-shave on Mossie’s 50th birthday in honour of their late father.   Thanks to everyone who contributed to this fundraiser, and especially to Kathleen, Eric and Maurice for their bravery in baring their heads at a time of record-breaking low temperatures. Thanks also to the staff and students of St. Patrick’s School who contributed an additional €700.30 today, bringing the total raised to €3608.80.
