Saturday 19th July – Joyce Country Challenge in aid of Galway Hospice and Mayo/Roscommon Hospice

Joyce Country Challenge Routes [640x480]The Annual Joyce Country Challenge will be taking place again this year in aid of Galway Hospice and Mayo/Roscommon Hospice.   Taking place this year on Saturday 19th July, the event presents the opportunity to walk one of Ireland’s hidden gems and, in the process, to raise much-needed funds for two separate hospice foundations – Galway Hospice and Mayo/Roscommon Hospice.

This event offers 4 grades of walks to choose from, ranging from a lowland walk circling Lough na Fooey, to a more challenging walk of 30km of open hilltops with 1900m of climbing.  Whichever grade of walk is chosen, the participants will experience fantastic views of various mountains and lakes, including The Turks, Mweelrea, Killary Harbour, the Sheefrys and the Western Lakes.

For more information on each grade of walk or to register, log onto www.lakedistricthwc.com or contact Debbie on 087 7555143 or debbiekanakis@gmail.com

Your support for this potentially very enjoyable event would be much appreciated.
