Marks & Spencer Galway two-day in-store cycle in aid of Galway Hospice Foundation and the Marie Keating Foundation

Exercise bike [640x480]On Friday 13th and Saturday 14th June 2014, Marks & Spencer, Galway, will hold an in-store cyclathon in aid of both the Galway Hospice Foundation and the Marie Keating Foundation.  The event will take place from Friday 13th from 11 am to 9pm, and Saturday14th from 11am to 7 pm.  On both days, there will be entertainment in the form of music and clowns, and there will also be face painting for children!

In addition to the in-store cycle, there are also a number of ongoing fundraising endeavours taking place at Marks & Spencer, Galway, that form part of the fundraising campaign in aid of both the Galway Hospice and the Marie Keating Foundation.  These fundraising endeavours include a book sale, a “guess how many Percy Pigs are in the jar”, as well as bag packing, and a bucket collection!  What a mix!

Galway Hospice will receive 60% of the proceeds raised through the two-day in-store cycle and the on-going fundraising endeavours, with 40% of the proceeds raised going to support the Marie Keating Foundation.  But 100% of funds raised using the Galway Hospice buckets and through the sale of Galway Hospice merchandise will go to Galway Hospice!

Everyone is invited to drop into Marks & Spencer, Galway, during those two days of cycling, to support the fantastic management and staff there in their tremendous fundraising efforts to benefit Galway Hospice Foundation and the Marie Keating Foundation.  In fact, you can drop in anytime and make a contribution to the fundraising campaign!

Every year, Galway Hospice must raise €1.6 million to enable the provision of essential home care, day care and bereavement support services to people throughout Galway city, county and the adjoining islands. Galway Hospice depends entirely on voluntary contributions, and fundraising events – such as the great work of the Marks & Spencer team – help to ensure the provision of these essential services. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
