Kiltevna Halloween Fancy Dress fundraiser raises €17,821 in aid of Galway Hospice!

A Halloween Fancy Dress fundraiser in memory of the late Margaret Cunningham and in aid of Galway Hospice took place on Saturday, 2nd November, in The Blue Kuku, Kiltevna. In the months leading up to this very special event, the organising committee travelled throughout Galway city and county organising line-sellers and held bucket collections at various venues.

Family, friends and neighbours of the late Margaret Cunningham made donations and sponsored all the prizes for the main draw and the ticket raffle. On the night of this fundraiser, there was great music to be enjoyed and there were prizes for the best costumes.

Pictured, on the night of the fundraiser, at the cheque presentation are: sitting left to right:  Bernie Smyth, Joanne Tierney of Galway Hospice and Margaret Mullarkey. Back row left to right: Margaret Barrett, Celia Joyner, Sean Cunningham,  Anne Joyner, Breda Mullin, Teresa Smyth, Joe Kennedy, Bernadette Donnellan, Mary Delaney, Anne Connaughton and Mary O’Boyle.

Our sincere thanks to everyone involved in this fantastic fundraiser and to everyone who supported the event in aid of Galway Hospice, and specifically in memory of Margaret Cunningham.
