Kerry to Galway Cycle raises €26,000 for Galway Hospice and Kerry Hospice!

Many thanks to everyone who took part in the sponsored cycle from Kerry to Galway on the 7th September 2013 in aid of Galway Hospice and Kerry Hospice.  This event raised a fantastic €26,000, to be shared between Galway Hospice and Kerry Hospice.

Thanks to the organiser Liam Murphy and family who recently travelled (by car this time!) from Kerry to Galway Hospice to present Joanne Tierney of Galway Hospice with a cheque for €13,000 from the proceeds raised.  Thanks a million!

Pictured are (l-r): Joanne Tierney (Galway Hospice), Micheal Murphy, Catherine Judge-Murphy, Liam Murphy and Ruairi Murphy with a cheque for the total proceeds raised for the two charities.

Many thanks to Liam, to Catherine and to everyone who was involved in the organising and running of this fantastic event in aid of Galway Hospice and Kerry Hospice.  Galway Hospice has to raise €1.5 million every year simply to continue providing existing levels of service.   Events like the Kerry to Galway Cycle are hugely important in helping us reach this target.  Thanks again to Liam and to everyone who took part in this challenge.  Well done!
