Clare Quinn “Smiles” for Galway Hospice . . .

13-year old Renmore girl Clare Quinn, a first year student in Dominican College, Taylors Hill, presents a cheque for €3663.85 to Orla Feeney of Galway Hospice.  Clare raised this fantastic amount through sales of her debut CD “Smile”, and she then donated the total amount to Galway Hospice!  Wow!

The limited edition of “Smile” by Clare Quinn was completely sold out within a few weeks of its release. The CD was recorded at the Forge Recording Studio in Galway.

It is fantastic to see such a young person getting involved in fundraising for Galway Hospice, which is located only a few hundred metres from where Clare lives!  Clare had been coming into Galway Hospice for many years as part of the local school choir, singing for our Day Care patients at Christmas time.  Now that she has moved on to “big school”, Clare didn’t forget about Galway Hospice, but decided to record a CD and sell it to benefit Galway Hospice.  The result …. a whopping €3663.85 in proceeds from the sale.  Many thanks to Clare and to her parents who supported and encouraged her all the way.  Clare is a very talented young lady, and she has a very bright musical future ahead of her (but it’s head down into the books now!).  Congratulations Clare, well done, and thank you!
