‘Sarah’s Birthday Remembrance’ raises €27,342 for Galway Hospice

To mark the birthday of the late Sarah Moran, Sarah’s family and friends organised a “partynight” in Canavan’s Bar in Belclare, Tuam on Saturday 28th July 2012 in aid of Galway Hospice. The night included an auction, raffle and entertainment, raising a staggering €27,342 for Galway Hospice.

Pictured at the cheque presentation are (l-r): Bernadette Long, Kevin Moran, Julie O’Toole, Kathleen Murray, Patricia Hyland, Declan Moran, Orla Feeney (Galway Hospice), Martin Moran, Bridie McHugh, Ann Marie Moran and Martina Moran.

Also a very big ‘thank you’ to Conor Burke, Ciara Burke, Keelan Moran, Caoimhin Burke and Jamie Burke who are pictured in the second photograph.  These fantastic young people worked very hard to make this party night a huge success.

Our sincere thanks to everyone who helped organise this event in memory of Sarah, and special thanks to Sarah’s family and friends for choosing Galway Hospice to benefit from the proceeds raised.  Also thanks to everyone who supported the event, to Canavan’s Bar, and to the many sponsors who donated fantastic prizes and items for auction.

Galway Hospice appreciates so much the enthusiasm and loyalty of groups like this who put so much time and effort into organising events in aid of Galway Hospice.  We could not do what we do, to the extent that we do it, without this magnificent encouragement and financial support.

Thanks again to everyone concerned!
