14th and 15th July: Galway Garden Festival in aid of Galway Hospice and The Christian Blind Mission

‘Glorious Gardens’ is this year’s theme for the Galway Garden Festival, which is taking place on Saturday and Sunday 14th and 15th July in Claregalway Castle.  Entry fee for this garden spectacular is a mere €5 and proceeds from the gate will be donated to Galway Hospice and The Christian Blind Mission.  The event takes place from 11am until 6pm each day, with live music, food stalls, children’s entertainment and lots more.

Music at the event will be provided by The Summer Music Opera Ensemble, West Coast Jazz, St. Patrick’s Brass Band, The Band of the Western Command, The Baytone Acapello Group and lots lots more.

The event will also include specialist nurseries from all over Ireland, and visitors to the event will have the opportunity to purchase rare and unusual plants at reasonable prices. Garden furniture, ornaments, tools and lots more will also be available on both days. There will also be a number of expert speakers on both days, including Helen Dillon, Diarmuid Gavin, Dr Matthew Jebb and lots more.

This is a fantastic event not to be missed and the perfect opportunity to learn more and pick up tips for your garden this summer. Bus Eireann are also providing a free courtesy bus for the event. This will be available hourly from Galway City Centre Rail Station to the festival from 10.30am each day.

This promises to be a very entertaining, informative and truly seasonal event, which will also benefit two charities.  Your support would be much appreciated!
