“Galway Blue Challenge” multiple events in aid of Galway Hospice and ACT for Meningitis

Best wishes to An Garda Siochana (Galway Division) who are taking on the Galway Blue Challenge by cycling from Mill Street Garda Station to Croagh Patrick on 4th May 2012, climbing the mountain and then cycling back again to Galway on 5th May 2012, all in aid of Galway Hospice and ACT for Meningitis.

Not only are these Gardai taking on this cycling and climbing challenge, but they are doing additional fundraising efforts for their two chosen charities by holding a Raffle and Table Quiz during the weeks leading up to their cycle.

The Raffle will take place on 29th April in De Burgos Bar, Galway, but the troops will be selling tickets for the Raffle in Corbett Court Shopping Centre on Friday 13th April 2012.  The Raffle has some fantastic prizes, including a €1000 voucher for Nigel’s Cycles and Hotel Breaks!

The Team is also holding a Table Quiz in aid of the two charities, in De Burgos Garda Club on Friday 20th April at 8pm sharp.   Tables of 4 cost €40 and there are fantastic prizes on the night. Everyone is welcome to take part but tables are limited so please book in advance by contacting John on 086 8650202

All proceeds from these multiple events will be shared between Galway Hospice and ACT for Meningitis, so your support for these events will directly benefit these two charities.

Thanks to An Garda Siochana for their fundraising efforts and to everyone supporting the events.
