4th June 2012 – Will you choose Galway Hospice for Flora Women’s Mini Marathon?

It’s that time of year again!!  The Flora Women’s Mini Marathon is now in its 30th year and this year’s event will take place on Bank Holiday Monday, 4th June 2012.

This is a great opportunity to get fit and healthy and, in the process, raise much needed funds for Galway Hospice.

Since 1983, the number of women participating in the Flora Women’s Mini-Marathon has grown steadily to over 40,000 women each year. It is the biggest all women’s event of its kind in the world and the largest charity event in Ireland.

Entries for the 2012 Flora Women’s Mini Marathon opened on Wednesday 22nd February. You can enter online at www.florawomensminimarathon.ie for the event and contact Galway Hospice on 091 770868 for your Sponsorship Card and marathon T-Shirt. Please register early as once the maxium number of entries is received by the Marathon organisers, no more entries will be accepted.

Events like this are hugely important to Galway Hospice in our annual fundraising drive. This is not only a fantastic way to raise funds for charity, but it is also a way to get fit and healthy and share this fantastic experience with 40,000 other women, of all ages, nationalities and walks of life.

We hope you will consider choosing Galway Hospice as your charity of choice for this event.  Thank you!
