Connemara Loop-A-Thon raises €3,500 for Galway Hospice

Well done to Leo Mansfield and the organisers of the Connemara Loop-A-Thon event which raised a fantastic €3,500 for Galway Hospice.   The Loop-A-Thon took place on New Year’s Eve 2011 and involved participants running or walking 5.6km. This was the inaugural year of this event, and it proved to be so successful that plans are already in place for the 2012 event, on next New Year’s Eve.

Pictured at the cheque presentation are (l-r): Event Mascot ‘Conn O’Mara’, Leo Mansfield, Siobhan Stoney, Agnes Stokes (representing Galway Hospice), Caitriona O’Toole, Brian Hughes, Michelle Hughes and Dave Beecher.

Many thanks to the organisers, participants and everyone else who supported this event in aid of Galway Hospice.
