Loughrea Youth Project “X-Hale Gig” raises €295 for Galway Hospice

Many thanks to Loughrea Youth Project (Youth Work Ireland) who  organised an X-Hale Gig in aid of Galway Hospice on Friday 14th October 2011 in Lough Rea Hotel and Spa, raising €295 in the process!  The event had a fantastic line-up, including Plowin for Socks, Miss Peaches, Whittlefit, Defex and Blu Loves Milo, and all proceeds from the event were kindly donated to Galway Hospice.

Loughrea Youth Project is a community based project supporting young people from Loughrea and surrounding areas.  Galway Hospice would like to thank them sincerely for choosing us as beneficiary from their X-Hale Gig.

Pictured at the cheque presentation are (l-r): Aisling Porter, Jemma Gately, Orla Feeney (Galway Hospice), Siobhan Casey and Elaine McHugo. Thanks so much girls for your fantastic work and dedication in aid of Galway Hospice. Also thanks to Gina Griffin who is absent from the photograph, and to everyone who supported this event.

Events like this are hugely important to Galway Hospice in terms of sustainable funding and it is encouraging to see these young ladies giving their time and efforts to raise funds for Galway Hospice.
