4th June 2012 – Flora Women’s Mini Marathon – have you the “WWW Factor?”

It’s that time of year again!!  This year’s Flora Women’s Mini Marathon takes place on the 4th June 2012, starting in Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin.  What’s great about the Flora mini marathon is that it can be walked, jogged or ran.  Women from all corners of Ireland and further afield are invited to take part in this fantastic event for their charity of choice. 

We are looking to the Wonderful Women of the West (The “WWW Factor”) to take part in this event for the benefit of Galway Hospice.  We will be delighted to send these www’s a sponsorship card which they can use to raise much-needed funds for Galway Hospice.

We need Hospice heroes now more than ever.  Our fundraising income fell by 10% last year and the HSE has already reduced by 7.3% what they give us to run the Inpatient Unit.  It is becoming very difficult to meet the demands on our services from reducing income, so events like this are very important to help keep our services going.

Please note that the closing date for entries for this Mini Marathon is Friday 20th April 2012 but very often the maximum number of  permitted participants is reached long before this date. So it’s very important to register early, especially if you plan on raising funds for Galway Hospice.  Your Hospice needs you!
