EARLY REGISTRATIONS TOMORROW for Burren Cycle on the 21st May in aid of Galway Hospice and Kinvara United Football Club

Poster (Copy)A Charity Cycle will be taking place on Saturday 21st May 2016 in aid of Galway Hospice and Kinvara United Football Club. The cycle is open to all cyclists of all levels, with a choice of two routes available.

  • The 95km cycle begins at Mac Mahons Oil in Kinvara at 9am, going uphill to Carran where there will be a water stop. It will continue on to Lisdoonvarna, stopping in the town square for refreshments and then to Ballyvaughan for another water stop before returning to Mac Mahons Oil in Kinvara.
  • The 25km cycle also begins at Mac Mahons Oil in Kinvara at 12noon. This is a relatively flat route, travelling around the Burren, with a water stop half way and returning to Mac Mahons Oil along with the cyclists from the 95km route.

Registration for the cycle is available online at http://www.iregister.ie/v2/events/burren-circle/ at €40. Group registrations and early registrations (before 1st May) can avail of a €5 discount.

A registration day will be taking place tomorrow (30th April) in Mac Mahons Mace in Kinvara from 10am to 3pm, where participants will have the opportunity to register early and receive a €5 discount.

Cyclists can also register by mail or in person. To do so, contact Liam on 085 1473624 or Johnny on 086 0775992. A second registration night will also be taking place in Mac Mahons Mace in Kinvara on the 20th May and also on the morning of the cycle.

For your registration, you will receive:

  • A Galway Hospice t-shirt
  • Insurance cover on the day
  • Personal Momento for finishing the first Burren Circle Cycle

Showers will be available to participants after the cycle at Kinvara GAA pitch on the Moy Road.

All proceeds raised from the event will be donated to Galway Hospice and Kinvara United Football Club.
