21st February 2012 – ‘Flippin Pancake Tuesday’ in aid of Galway Hospice

A fantastic ‘Flippin Pancake Tuesday’ event will be taking place in The Parlour Tearooms in the New Park Hotel, Athenry, on 21st February 2012 from 9am until late. During the day, all pancakes will be selling at €3, which includes delicious fillings from the ‘all you can fill’ table.  For every pancake sold, they will donate 50% of the sale as a donation to Galway Hospice.

From 7pm, members of the Athenry GAA Hurling Club will compete against each other in a pancake Eat-athon with the New Park Hotel donating €1 to Galway Hospice for every pancake eaten.

Whether you like your pancake sweet or savoury, all tastes will be catered for.  A savoury pancake menu will be available for the day, as well as a ‘sweet station’ crammed with a huge selection of sweet toppings and fillings.  There will be plenty for you to choose from!  Louise Feeney, Proprietor of the New Park Hotel, commented, “We are very excited about the event and we are looking forward to raising as much funds as we possibly can for such a worthy cause, the Galway Hospice.”

So pop in to the Parlour Tearooms on February the 21st for ‘Flippin Pancake Tuesday’ and have a pancake in aid of the Galway Hospice.
