2017 Killimor 10k raises €6,665 for Galway Hospice

DSCN4096 (Copy)Many thanks to Mary Starr and Mary Guinan of Killimor, who recently presented a cheque for €6,665 to Colette Dodd of Galway Hospice (centre).

The ladies raised these proceeds through the 2017 Killimor 10k walk/run, which took place on Sunday 9th July from Portumna to Killimor in aid of Galway Hospice.

From 2013 to date, the two Marys have raised the wonderful total of €41,919.08 for Galway Hospice through this annual walk.

Well done to these two ladies and their helpers for their great support and loyalty towards Galway Hospice for many years now. Through their hard work, time and dedication each year, they help us to continue providing our fully-accredited specialist palliative care services to adults and children with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses throughout Galway city and county, and on the adjoining islands, as well as providing support to their families and carers.  There is no charge for the services provided by Galway Hospice and these services continue to be hugely enabled by the amazing financial support of people across every nook and cranny of County Galway.  Sincere thanks to the two Marys and to the people of Killimor and Portumna who support this event each year.
