2016 Killimor 10k walk/run raises €6,761 for Galway Hospice

Killimor 10k photographMany thanks to Mary Starr and Mary Guinan of Killimor, who recently presented Orla Feeney of Galway Hospice, with a cheque for €6,761.

The ladies raised these proceeds through the 2016 Killimor 10k walk/run, which took place on Sunday 22nd May in aid of Galway Hospice. This is the fourth year of this walk and, to date, the two Marys have raised a fantastic total of €35,254.08 for Galway Hospice since 2013.

We are very grateful to these ladies for organising this event each year for Galway Hospice, and to everyone who has supported the event year after year. Events like this are very important to Galway Hospice in terms of sustainable fundraising.  The funds raised help us to continue providing our fully-accredited specialist palliative care services to adults and children with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses throughout Galway city and county, and on the adjoining islands, as well as providing support to their families and carers.  So well done and huge thanks to all concerned.
