The ‘Lough Inagh 5 km Walk in memory of Tony O’Halloran’ raises €8000 for Galway Hospice

Terrie O'Halloran 002 [640x480]Recently, Galway Hospice was presented with a cheque for €8000, being the proceeds raised through the ‘Lough Inagh 5 km Walk in memory of Tony O’Halloran’.  The walk took place on 11th May 2014 in picturesque Connemara.  Tony’s family and friends gathered together on the day and walked the distance of 5km in Tony’s memory.

Tony’s daughter, Michelle Madden (right), is pictured presenting the proceeds raised to Joanne Tierney of Galway Hospice. Sincere thanks to the family and friends of Tony O’Halloran for dedicating this memorial event to benefit Galway Hospice.  It is greatly appreciated.

The provision of Galway Hospice’s Home Care, Day Care and Bereavement Support services costs in the region of €1.6 million per annum.  Galway Hospice receives no Sate funding for these services and so, support from people like the O’Halloran family and their friends makes such a difference to our fundraising requirements.  Thanks to everyone involved for your time and support.
