NEXT WEEKEND – 26th & 27th April – Annaghdown Cycle in aid of Galway Hospice

Annaghdown Cyclists [640x480]It’s that time of year again! Now in its 27th year, the Annaghdown Sponsored Cycle will take place on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th April 2014.

Pushing off from Regan’s of Clonboo at 10am on Saturday next, the cyclists will blaze a trail, passing through Caherlistrane, Shrule, Kilmaine, Scardaune, Ballindine, Claremorris (stopping for refreshments at the McWilliam Park Hotel), then on to Balla and finishing in Westport for an overnight stay in the Westport Woods Hotel.

Next morning (Sunday 27th April) the cyclists will leave Westport for their journey home, travelling through Ballinrobe, Cross, Headford, Cornerchapel, Corrandulla and arriving back at Regan’s of Clonboo, fresh as daisies!

All proceeds from the Cycle will go to Galway Hospice and all support for the riders and the accompanying crew will be much appreciated.   If you live along the route of the cycle, why not watch out for the cyclists and encourage them along the way!  These cyclists are “heroes” – giving of themselves for the benefit of others.

Events like this are so important to Galway Hospice in terms of our continuing fundraising requirements. This fantastic cycle event, now in its 27th year, is a credit to all concerned. We extend our admiration and appreciation to the organisers of this cycle, for their hard work and tremendous support of Galway Hospice.  Thank you!
