Avril and Stephen Foy, daughter and son of the late Michael Foy, recently visited Galway Hospice to present a cheque for €5,335, being the proceeds raised through a birthday remembrance walk held in memory of their father Michael.
Nicola Purcell, CNM1 at Galway Hospice, met with Avril and Stephen on the evening of their visit to the hospice, and thanked them for their time and support. The special walk took place in Westport on 21st October, and was followed by a raffle, refreshments and music in McCarthy’s Bar, Westport. Every year, Galway Hospice must raise €1.8 million to maintain current levels of Hospice Home Care, Day Care and Bereavement Support services throughout Galway city and county.
