Menlo Park Hospice Golfers’ White Collar Boxing event raises €3,801.50 for Galway Hospice!

Photo (Copy)Many thanks to the Menlo Park Hospice Golfers whose most recent fundraising event in aid of Galway Hospice – a “white collar boxing night” – raised €3,801.50!  The boxing event was held in the Menlo Park Hotel on Friday 6th June, with all proceeds being donated to Galway Hospice.

Pictured at the cheque presentation are (l-r): Martina King (Galway Hospice), Albert Baranyai, Joe Mooney, and Sinead Callinan (Galway Hospice).

Thanks to Albert, Joe and to everyone who was involved in the organising and running of this event for Galway Hospice.  Events like this are very important to Galway Hospice in terms of sustainable fundraising. We appreciate very much the enthusiasm and loyalty of groups like the Menlo Park Hospice Golfers who willingly give of their personal time and efforts to raise funds for Galway Hospice through various fundraising events.  Their commitment to Galway Hospice over the years has been hugely important in helping us to continue providing Hospice Home Care and Day Care services to those that need them, as we do not receive any State funding towards those services.

Our thanks also to everyone who participated in the boxing event, and to Pete Foley from the Black Dragon Kickboxing Club who trained the participants prior to the event.  Many thanks, and well done to all concerned.
