Earlier today, John Phelan visited Galway Hospice to present a cheque for €4,430.03 which he, his family and friends raised through John’s recent 65th birthday celebrations. In lieu of birthday gifts, John kindly requested that guests make donations to Galway Hospice. John worked tirelessly on organising a most memorable and special evening, while simultaneously raising funds for Galway Hospice.
Pictured at today’s presentation are (l-r): Ciara Phelan, Nicola Purcell (CNM1, Galway Hospice), Joanne Tierney (Fundraising Department, Galway Hospice) and John Phelan. Sincere thanks to John for making Galway Hospice such a focal part of his special evening, helping to raise much-needed funds for and awareness of the Foundation. Such support is, indeed, greatly appreciated. Thank you also to John’s family and friends for their support.
Every year, Galway Hospice must raise €1.8 million to maintain current levels of Hospice Home Care, Day Care and Bereavement Support services throughout Galway city and county. Galway Hospice depends hugely on our supporters to reach this annual fundraising target. Thank you everyone for your support to date.
